What Our Customers Say About Us

April Z.

Freedom was outsourced by another company, but they did the work. Two guys came on time and sprayed the edges, then the center of the driveway with a nice thick coating. Quality work and materials. Clean edges and not a spot missed. 5 stars, highly recommended, would hire again!

Eddie R.

Thanks Kevin & the whole crew for a great job on my driveway. It looks great & I appreciate it. They took the time to answer all of my questions & were very helpful with the permitting process. The original estimate with the drawing/layout & dimensions was instrumental in the permitting process & helped in deciding to go with Freedom Asphalt.

Laquan C.

Thank you Freedom Asphalt for the great customer service! Ben and Jr were the workers who did my driveway sealing. They were polite, respectful, and they knew exactly what to do! Plus, they were cool to chat with. Thank you Ben and Jr for the great service and work you’ve done.

Very professional and explained the whole process, gave us a few options to choose from and average lifetime of each options sealcoating versus paving overlay. Ultimately we went with the overlay option because our driveway was not missing large chunks of pavement nor was there large cracks. The driveway looks great thank you again for helping us with this project

About Us

Freedom Asphalt is based out of York, PA (with locations in Dover) and is an asphalt maintenance and asphalt paving specialist.  We serve both commercial and residential customers in South Central Pennsylvania with all their pavement needs.

Freedom Asphalt provides top-quality asphalt maintenance services and solutions to our customers.  Because of our investment in superior seal coating, line painting, and heavy asphalt equipment, Freedom Asphalt handles all facets of asphalt maintenance, excavating, and driveway paving operations in-house. If your problem is asphalt Freedom Asphalt is the answer!

While there are several quality companies in this region, there are several factors that set Freedom Asphalt apart from the competition:

Workmanship – At Freedom Asphalt we intergraded a workmanship bonus for all our employees.  At the end of every project a Completion Audit is conducted.  This audit takes into consideration 55 factors that we expect to be met for optimum quality and workmanship.  The audit is conducted personally by the owner of our company.  This ensures a consistent quality work product where our employees are rewarded financially for following proper standards.  Note:  Our owner personally oversees all substantial projects to provide worry-free completion for the customer.
Services – Freedom Asphalt is a full fledge asphalt maintenance and paving company.  Our services include sealcoating, hot tar crack repair, parking lot line striping, hot asphalt pot hole repair, hot asphalt patching, bollards, signage, and residential paving.  All services are provided “In House” and are not subcontracted out.
Communication – Customer service and communication go hand-in-hand.  Many companies have set hours and even during those hours, it can be difficult to get someone on the telephone to discuss project details.  At Freedom Asphalt we believe your projects should be treated as a top priority.  As such, you will be provided with our direct office number (717-502-2222) which is answered and/or has voice messages monitored 24 hours a day! We understand things come up and are available to you whenever you need them.
Products – Last, but certainly not least, we are different when it comes to our products.

Each contractor blends their own mix of sealcoat material.  It is completely possible to “water down” the material to make it look great when it’s applied; however, it might only last a year.  At Freedom Asphalt we purchase our commercial-grade material direct from the manufacturer and we blend it according to their required specifications.  This ensures the product we are using on your property is EXACTLY the blend to give your asphalt the most amount of protection possible.  Note:  The material we use is the same material spec by the FAA for use on airport runways due to its durability and resistance to oil and fuel penetration.

Crack Repair

Freedom Asphalt only uses top grade hot tar crack repair when repairing asphalt cracking.  Many contractors substitute the hot tar for a rubberized product.  Again, it looks great when applied; however, after the first freeze / thaw cycle is complete the rubberized material fails.  Hot tar is the best products available on the market and the only product we use.

When striping a parking lot, it is important to understand the distinction in the paint being applied.  At Freedom Asphalt we only use Sherwin Williams Traffic Paint.  Our paint is always applied in a “Double Coat” format, meaning the first layer is applied, it is left to dry, then is followed by a second coat.  This prevents line fade and increases the time between striping.  Most contractors only apply a single coat of paint.

Asphalt Patching

At Freedom Asphalt we have the equipment and knowledge to complete asphalt patching using hot asphalt fill. Prior to applying the hot asphalt, we will saw cut any pot holes to give a clean edge, clear out any debris in the hole, and apply the hot compacted asphalt. Many companies make the repair with cold patched material. This is an inferior material that will fail with traffic.
